Transportation
The easiest way to reach Ruka is by flying into Kuusamo Airport (KUO). From the airport, you can take a taxi or a pre-booked airport shuttle directly to Ruka village. Several bus lines also connect Kuusamo Airport to Ruka, although schedules may be limited. If you are arriving from elsewhere in Finland, you can take a long-distance bus to Kuusamo and then transfer to a local bus to Ruka. Renting a car is also a convenient option, providing flexibility to explore the surrounding area.
