Pyramids of Giza Guide
Witness the Majesty: Stand in Awe of the Pyramids of Giza Guide
Prepare to be mesmerized by the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a testament to the ingenuity and power of ancient Egypt. Located on the Giza Plateau, just outside Cairo, these colossal structures have captivated travelers for millennia. The complex includes the Great Pyramid of Giza (Khufu), the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Sphinx, and several smaller pyramids and temples. The pyramids were constructed during the Fourth Dynasty (c. 2589–2566 BC) as tombs for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The Great Pyramid of Giza, the largest of the three, was built for Khufu and is the only remaining wonder of the ancient world. The Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, stands guard over the pyramids, adding to the mystique and grandeur of the site. Visitors can explore the pyramid complex, marvel at the sheer scale of the structures, and even venture inside some of the pyramids (for an additional fee). Camel and horse rides are available for a unique perspective of the site. The Solar Boat Museum houses a reconstructed ancient Egyptian boat discovered near the Great Pyramid. Don't miss the sound and light show in the evening, which narrates the history of the pyramids and ancient Egypt.
