Transportation

You can also inquire with your hotel about shuttle services to the beach. Public buses, known as 'guaguas,' are an option, but they can be crowded and less reliable. To reach Arena Gorda from Bavaro, take a bus heading north towards Macao. Ask the driver to drop you off near Arena Gorda. From there, you may need to walk a short distance or take a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to reach the beach itself.
