The Round Tower (Rundetårn) is a 17th-century tower located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. It's one of the city's most iconic landmarks, offering panoramic views of the cityscape from its observation platform. Unlike most towers, the Round Tower doesn't have stairs; instead, a unique spiral ramp winds its way to the top, making it accessible to all. The tower's unique ramp was designed to allow horses and carriages to transport books and equipment to the library and observatory. At the summit, you'll find an outdoor platform offering 360-degree views of Copenhagen. Inside the tower, you can also visit the Library Hall, which hosts exhibitions and events. The tower also houses a small astronomical observatory, though it's not always open to the public.
