DEPO2015 Guide
DEPO2015: Pilsen's Hub for Creativity and Innovation Guide
Step into DEPO2015, a vibrant cultural center housed in a former depot for public transportation. This unique space has been transformed into a hub for creativity, innovation, and community engagement. If you're looking for something beyond the traditional tourist attractions, DEPO2015 offers a glimpse into Pilsen's contemporary art scene and its commitment to fostering creativity. It's a place where art, design, and technology collide, creating a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere. DEPO2015 was established in 2015 as part of Pilsen's year as the European Capital of Culture. The goal was to create a space that would support local artists, designers, and entrepreneurs, and to provide a platform for cultural exchange. The transformation of the former depot was a major undertaking, but the result is a stunning example of adaptive reuse. The industrial architecture of the building has been preserved, while the interior has been redesigned to accommodate a variety of activities, including exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and performances. At DEPO2015, you can explore contemporary art exhibitions, attend workshops on various creative skills, enjoy live music performances, and participate in community events. The space also includes studios for artists and designers, a co-working space, and a café. Check the DEPO2015 website for the latest schedule of events and activities. While DEPO2015 doesn't have a specific culinary tradition of its own, the on-site café offers a selection of light meals, snacks, and drinks. You can also find a variety of restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area, offering both traditional Czech cuisine and international flavors.
