Hrádek: A Medieval Gem Housing Silver's Secrets Guide
Hrádek, meaning "Little Castle," is a stunning Gothic building in Kutná Hora that serves as part of the Czech Museum of Silver. More than just a pretty facade, Hrádek played a crucial role in the town's silver mining history, originally serving as a medieval administrative center and later housing the mint where silver coins were produced. Today, it offers a captivating glimpse into the lives of the miners and the economic power that silver brought to Kutná Hora. Built in the late 15th century, Hrádek's architecture is a testament to the wealth and importance of Kutná Hora during its silver boom.
