This non-profit organization is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wildlife back into their natural habitat. A visit to the center offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Costa Rica's most fascinating creatures while supporting a vital cause. The Tree of Life Rescue Center provides a safe and nurturing environment for a variety of animals, including sloths, monkeys, parrots, toucans, and other native species. Many of the animals have been injured by cars, electrocuted by power lines, or orphaned due to deforestation. The dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide medical care, nutritious food, and enrichment activities to help these animals recover and thrive. The ultimate goal is to release them back into the wild whenever possible. During your visit, you'll have the chance to learn about the challenges facing Costa Rica's wildlife and the importance of conservation efforts. Take a guided tour of the center and observe the animals in their enclosures. Learn about their individual stories and the rehabilitation process. You can even participate in volunteer activities, such as preparing food or cleaning enclosures (depending on availability). By visiting the Tree of Life Wildlife Rescue Center, you're not only supporting their important work but also gaining a deeper appreciation for the incredible biodiversity of Costa Rica.
