Transportation
The only way to reach Gulangyu Island is by ferry from Xiamen. Ferries depart from the Xiamen International Cruise Center (厦门国际邮轮中心厦鼓码头). There are different types of ferries, some for locals and some for tourists. Make sure you purchase a ticket for the tourist ferry. Once on the island, the only modes of transportation are walking and electric carts (available for a fee).

Ferry ticket price varies depending on the route and time of day. Expect to pay around CNY 35-50 for a round-trip ticket.
