Hike Dragon's Back: Breathtaking Views Await! Guide

Escape the urban jungle and immerse yourself in nature on the Dragon's Back Hiking Trail, consistently ranked as one of the best urban hikes in the world. This scenic trail offers stunning panoramic views of Hong Kong's coastline, including Shek O, Tai Long Wan, and the South China Sea. The relatively easy hike makes it accessible to a wide range of fitness levels, making it a perfect day trip for both locals and tourists. The Dragon's Back gets its name from the undulating ridge that resembles a dragon's spine. While the trail doesn't have a specific historical significance, it showcases the natural beauty of Hong Kong's landscape, which has been appreciated for centuries. The area is part of the Shek O Country Park, established in 1979 to protect the region's natural environment. The main activity is, of course, hiking! Enjoy the breathtaking views along the way, and take plenty of photos. At the end of the trail, you can relax on the beautiful Shek O Beach or grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. Shek O is known for its relaxed beachside atmosphere and offers a variety of cuisines, including seafood and international dishes. Enjoy fresh seafood at one of the restaurants in Shek O village after your hike.
