Meet the Pandas: A Journey into Conservation Guide

More than just a zoo, the base offers a unique opportunity to observe giant pandas in a semi-natural habitat, mimicking their native environment. Prepare to be captivated by their playful antics, adorable cubs, and the dedicated efforts to protect this endangered species. Established in 1987, the research base was created in response to the dwindling panda population. Through scientific research, breeding programs, and public education, the base has played a crucial role in increasing the number of giant pandas in captivity and contributing to their eventual reintroduction into the wild. The base also studies other rare and endangered animals native to China. Visitors can spend hours observing pandas of all ages in various enclosures, from playful youngsters tumbling around to adults munching on bamboo. The base also features museums and exhibits detailing panda biology, conservation efforts, and the history of the species.
