Transportation
The most convenient way to reach the Rozhen Observatory is by car. From Smolyan, follow the road towards Rozhen. The observatory is located a few kilometers outside the village of Rozhen and is well-signposted. Public transportation is limited. There are infrequent bus services from Smolyan to Rozhen, but you would still need to walk or take a taxi from the village to the observatory, which is a significant distance uphill.
