Avaz Twist Tower: Reach for the Sky in Sarajevo Guide

Dominating the Sarajevo skyline, the Avaz Twist Tower is a modern architectural marvel and one of the tallest buildings in the Balkans. This striking skyscraper offers visitors a chance to experience unparalleled panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast, a photography buff, or simply seeking a breathtaking perspective, the Avaz Twist Tower is a must-see attraction. Completed in 2008, the Avaz Twist Tower quickly became a symbol of Sarajevo's post-war recovery and modernization. Its unique twisted design, inspired by the DNA double helix, sets it apart from other skyscrapers in the region. The tower houses the headquarters of the Avaz media group, as well as offices, shops, and a café. However, the main draw for tourists is the observation deck, located on the 36th floor. The primary activity at the Avaz Twist Tower is, of course, enjoying the breathtaking views from the observation deck. Take in the sprawling cityscape of Sarajevo, framed by the majestic mountains that surround it. Capture stunning photographs of the city's landmarks, including the Old Town, the Latin Bridge, and the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque. The tower itself doesn't have a specific culinary tradition, but the café on the lower floors offers a variety of refreshments and light meals.

Transportation

The Avaz Twist Tower is easily accessible by public transportation. Take tram number 1, 3, 5, or 6 to the 'Marijin Dvor' stop. The tower is a short walk from the tram stop. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or drive, as there is parking available at the tower.
