Transportation
You can reach Hohensalzburg Fortress by taking the Festungsbahn funicular from Festungsgasse (near Kapitelplatz). Alternatively, you can walk up the steep path to the fortress (allow approximately 20-30 minutes). Bus lines 1, 5, 6, 25, and 95 stop near Kapitelplatz, the starting point for both the funicular and the walking path.
