Transportation
**By Train & Ferry/Bus:** Take a train to Attnang-Puchheim, then transfer to a train to Hallstatt station. From the Hallstatt train station, take a short ferry ride across the lake to the village. Alternatively, take a train to Obertraun and then a bus (Postbus 543) to Hallstatt. **By Bus:** Postbus 542 connects Hallstatt with Bad Ischl and St. Wolfgang. Postbus 543 connects Hallstatt with Obertraun and the Dachstein Ice Cave area.
