The easiest way to reach the Box Head trailhead is by car. Drive along Woy Woy Road and turn onto Patonga Drive. Follow Patonga Drive until you reach the Box Head car park. From there, it's a short but steep walk to the lookout. Public transport options are limited. Bus route 59 from Woy Woy to Patonga stops near the intersection of Patonga Drive and Bayview Avenue, requiring a walk of approximately 2 kilometers to reach the Box Head car park.
