Transportation
The primary way to reach Magnetic Island is by ferry from Townsville. Two ferry companies operate services: Sealink Queensland (passenger and vehicle ferry) and Magnetic Island Ferries (passenger ferry). Once on the island, you can get around by bus (Sunbus), car rental, scooter rental, or taxi. The Sunbus operates regular services connecting the main settlements.
