Discover the Healing Power of Aruba Aloe: From Plant to Product Guide

Immerse yourself in the world of Aruba Aloe at the Aruba Aloe Factory, Museum & Store. This unique attraction offers a fascinating look at the cultivation, processing, and benefits of aloe vera, a plant that has thrived on the island for over 160 years. Learn about the history of aloe production in Aruba, witness the manufacturing process firsthand, and discover the wide range of aloe-based products available. Aruba's aloe industry dates back to 1840 when the plant was first commercially cultivated on the island. At one point, Aruba was the largest exporter of aloe in the world. The Aruba Aloe Balm N.V. company, established in 1890, played a significant role in developing and promoting the island's aloe industry. Today, the factory continues to produce high-quality aloe products using traditional methods combined with modern technology. Visitors can take a guided tour of the factory and museum to learn about the history of aloe cultivation in Aruba and the process of extracting and processing the aloe vera gel. Witness the cutting, cleaning, and grinding of the aloe leaves, and see how the gel is transformed into various products. The store offers a wide selection of aloe-based skincare, haircare, and health products, all made with pure Aruban aloe. While not a culinary experience, you can find aloe vera juice and other edible aloe products in the store.
