Transportation
The most convenient way to reach Haghpat Monastery is by car or taxi from Yerevan or other major cities in Armenia. Marshrutkas (minibuses) also run from Yerevan to Alaverdi, the nearest town to Haghpat. From Alaverdi, you can take a taxi or local bus to the monastery. The marshrutka from Yerevan to Alaverdi departs from the Northern Bus Station.
