Transportation
Reaching Iruya is part of the adventure! The most common route is by bus from Humahuaca. Several bus companies offer daily services, but be prepared for a bumpy ride along a winding, unpaved road. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. The bus will drop you off at the edge of the village, and you'll need to walk down a steep path to reach the center. Consider hiring a 4x4 vehicle for a more comfortable, albeit more expensive, option.
