In the years that followed, artists and volunteers began a reforestation project, incorporating sculptures and art installations into the landscape, transforming the mountain into an open-air art gallery. The main activity on Cerro Piltriquitrón is hiking. Several trails lead to the summit, ranging in difficulty. The most popular route is well-marked and takes approximately 3-4 hours to ascend. Along the way, you'll encounter whimsical wooden sculptures, intricate mosaics, and thought-provoking art installations. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with unparalleled views. Transportation
You can reach the base of Cerro Piltriquitrón by car or taxi from El Bolsón. Alternatively, you can take a local bus (ask at the El Bolsón bus terminal for the correct route and schedule) that drops you off closer to the trailhead. From the town center, it's also possible to walk to the trailhead, which takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
