Long Bay Beach Guide

Paradise Found: Relax and Unwind at Long Bay Beach Guide

Long Bay Beach, located on the eastern coast of Antigua near Parham, is a stunning stretch of white sand and turquoise water, renowned for its calm, shallow waters and picturesque scenery. It's a perfect destination for families, couples, and anyone seeking a relaxing beach getaway. The protected bay offers excellent swimming conditions, making it ideal for both experienced swimmers and those who prefer to wade in the shallows. Unlike some of the more developed beaches on the island, Long Bay retains a more natural and tranquil atmosphere. While it doesn't have a long or particularly interesting history, its beauty and serenity have made it a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The beach is sheltered by a reef, which helps to keep the water calm and clear, creating an ideal environment for snorkeling and other water activities. At Long Bay Beach, you can spend your days swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the sand. Several vendors offer beach chairs and umbrellas for rent, and there are a few small restaurants and bars nearby where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink. Snorkeling gear can be rented from local vendors, allowing you to explore the colorful marine life in the reef. While not directly on the beach, nearby restaurants offer a taste of Antiguan cuisine, often featuring fresh seafood and local produce.
