Pulebardha Beach Guide
Pulebardha Beach: Albania's Hidden Gem Guide
Pulebardha Beach, also known as Seagull Beach, is a stunning, secluded paradise nestled along the Albanian Riviera near Himara. Its name derives from the numerous seagulls that frequent the area. This beach offers crystal-clear turquoise waters, dramatic rocky cliffs, and a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. It's a perfect escape for those seeking a more untouched and natural beach experience. While Pulebardha Beach doesn't have a long or particularly documented history, its appeal lies in its unspoiled nature. Unlike some of the more developed beaches in the area, Pulebardha has retained its raw beauty. The surrounding landscape is rugged and relatively untouched, contributing to its unique charm. The lack of extensive development has helped preserve its pristine waters and natural environment. Visitors to Pulebardha Beach can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling in the incredibly clear waters. The rocky surroundings make it ideal for exploring the marine life. While there aren't many restaurants directly on the beach, you can find small vendors selling refreshments and snacks during the peak season. Consider packing your own picnic to fully enjoy the secluded atmosphere. The beach is accessible by car, followed by a short walk down a rocky path.
Transportation
Reaching Pulebardha Beach typically involves driving. From Himara, follow the coastal road south. The road leading directly to the beach is unpaved and can be challenging, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Parking is available near the top of the cliff, followed by a short, somewhat steep walk down to the beach. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Himara, but arrange for a return trip in advance as taxis are not always readily available at the beach.
